So im going on a cruise in april for our family vacation. Ive never been on a cruise, and im so excited! We’re going in the Caribbean, and stopping in Jamaica and Mexico. But I have a few questions? First of all, I want to know if im going to have to be under adult supervision the whole time? im 17, twin sisters are 15. Are we going to have to follow my parents around all day? or can we just go do our own thing? Like can my parents go swimming while I go and get a massage or something? And that leads to my second question: to get massages and stuff, will it cost extra? (besides tipping). Or can I just like walk in and say I want a massage? because if so… i’d be in there all day. haha

Also, are we going to need passports if we’re docking and getting off in mexico, and jamaica and the cayman islands? (btw… what territory are the cayman islands in? just wondering.)

and, will I need to get shots and vaccines since we’ll be doing things off the ship in mexico in rainforests and stuff.

We’re going to the islands in a few days and I know that if he doesnt have a book to read he’ll get bored on the beach. Problem is, he really doesn’t read. I know that he read some mafia books and enjoyed them. These are his interests:
- Mafia, old gangster stuff
- Pirates (loves Pirates of the Caribbean)
- Restaurant Stuff – Hes a chef/owner (read Kitchen Confidential and loved it)
- Fishing/Hunting
- Loves comedy – Will Ferrell, etc.

Any ideas?? I want to surprise him with something good!
We are huge work-aholics. This vacation is to relax on the beach. We’re staying on St.Johns in the Virgin Islands where my parents live. The vacation will be a lot of swimming, snorkeling, hiking, sailing and yes.. laying on the beach and napping/reading! (and some beach scrabble) lol

I am thinking about buying a pomeranian puppy from a breeder. She shows her dogs in France and is located in Guadeloupe (where she shows them as well), which is a small caribbean island close to the island which I live on. The parents have the necessary testing done for the breed. She sells her pups at 12 weeks old and they come with health certificate, necessary vaccinations, 5 generation pedigree, a tattoo in the ear and french kennel club papers. She sells them fro 1200 euro each or 1600 us dollars. I will be visiting her in June when I go on vacation there. My question is, does she look and sound like a good breeder, and do her prices sound reasonable?

okay well every summer, march break and christmas holidays me, my sister and my parents go on vacation together or with cousines. me and my sister are 14 and 15 btw. this christmas we have three options we dont know witch one to chose. we’d be going from december 27-january 3. witch do u think is best: a week in maui hawaii at a resort, a cruise through all of hawaii, or a caribbean cruise going through florida, haiti, jamaica, cayman islands and mexico?! we’re trying to decide ont hese three!!

8 months ago I left my husband of almost nine years. It was a verbally and controlling marriage that became physically violent. I had left and then when I tried to set down and talk to him about the divorce he attacked me and physically harmed me. I managed to get him to stop but the next day I left and went to my parents home with our two children. I also went to the police and they arrested him the next day on two felony d counts and a misdemeanor of domestic battery and assault. A few months later he plead guilty to the assault and they dropped the other charges. All he got was a year of probation. He still has my children every other weekend , only when he wants to actually see them. He still gets to travel every week out of the country and state which he says is for business. He went to the Virgin Islands for Christmas and the Super bowel. He still tries to manipulate me on the phone by saying that I am a money hungry *itch. He blames me for all the attorney fees. He keeps trying to get me to settle on things regarding the divorce without my attorney being involved because he says I am taking away money from our children with the fees. But it does not stop him from vacationing. I am living in a two bedroom apartment and he is living in our 42 hundred sq. ft. home. My son has special needs and needs full time care. I can not go get a full time job yet until I find someone who can take care of him. My ex said he will not pay for this and I should have thought about that. He new thing now is that he is moving across the country and will never see the children again. Our daughter is 3 and my son is 7 years old. He is trying to make my life hell. He says once the divorce is final that he will have very minimal contact with us. How do I explain this to my daughter. I don’t want to have her feel this rejection from her father. He has a narcissistic personality and says that because he has to talk to me he can’t deal with the kids. This is the person who tried to harm me in front of her. My son has autism and will still be hurt but does not understand things like my daughter. What can I do to protect her feelings? I love my children and don’t know how my ex could live with out them. Please help! I never speak badly about my ex around my children. But I won’t make excuses for him either and enable this behavior.
Thanks to everyone for listening to my issues and venting. One good thing in my daughter and son’s life is my father (their grandpa). Before moving into my own place I had to live with my parents for 6 months. My father became very close with my daughter and is a very good loving, caring and wonderful role model for her. It sounds strange but I am so grateful for this divorce for many reason but one is that I get to see my parents much more now. My ex always made me feel ashamed of where I came from (he came from the same place) but never wanted anyone to know. I am in a support group and have one on one counseling for the domestic abuse. I want my children to be who they were meant to be in this world and not be changed. The guilt of not choosing the best spouse hurts me. It has been fourteen years of my life. I feel I have taken the higher road in much of the divorce. The only reason he did not loose his job and go to jail was because I told the court to go easy on him.

would these collage students still want to go to spring break in cancun??? 48 states to choose from (not counting Hawaii,Puerto Rico and the U.S.Virgin Islands) and still they are willing to risk their lives. WHY??? It’s unbelievable! Then if they get kidnapped, the kidnappers be calling mommy and daddy to pay the ransom.If they don’t pay up well,there goes the head. Aren’t the parents of these kids educating them on the dangers of traveling outside the USA? Im just saying, would you go to Afghanistan,Baghdad or Iraq for vacation now in these times???

I’m going on vacation with a friend and her family this summer, and they’re having problems planning and deciding where to go, so I told them i’d try to help out. None of us have ever been to the caribbean before. They want to stay at an all inclusive resort, somewhere that has a lot to do for adults (my friend and i are 19 and 18, then her parents…parents are okay with drinking/partying, and we love adventuring and being active) but not crazy overpopulated with tourists. we want to be around people but not be suffocated ha. Budget isn’t a super big issue but it’d be cool to save some money on the trip as well. I think the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, or Turks and Caicos might be cool, but I have no idea. any input on good resorts, good places to look online for package deals/airfare deals, things to do while there, and anything else noteworthy would be great.
