I would like to go away for Christmas alone this year. What is the best island/ resort in the Caribbean to do so alone. Just want to get away from the family drama and relax. Safety is a concern I am a 24yr old female. I am willing to spend money on a nice place but nothing too over the top. An all inclusive would be nice. I appreciate your input!

well i know im only a teenager, but what is so wrong about wanting to travel? I work–i have a lot of money saved up too, what is wrong about my dad wanting to take us on a nice family vacation?
she married into this family around seven years ago, and i havn’t gone anywhere since then besides our cabin.
is she just jealous that we have that opportunity to travel? When my dad was single…we went to a lot of places–ive been to at least 40 states in the US, mexico, canada, and some caribbean islands. I know i am extremely lucky–but i was really little when all of this happened. She is such a manipulative bitch im sorry-but now she is taking away the family camp
just becuase she has never lived any more than 20 miles from her birthplace
she talks trash about every place i want to go, and even to the point of racism!
Im extremely interested in studying anthropology and culture .this is why i love to travel! my friends have gone so many places i am completely jealous. wat can i do?
the annoying part is that they go on their own little vacations like five times a year! its INSANE! she goes away for a weekend to the casino every month!
last place i went was disney world lol and that sucked becuase she went along too and was whining and moping the whole time…saying how we were too old…and how she just wanted to go dancing
Okay, So I’m 18 and my Boyfriend is currently 17. We are both planning on going to the Us virgin Islands in the middle of august, right before college starts.
I need to know a bunch of things.
1st. Is the middle of august an okay time to go? Or what would be a better time?
2nd. Has anyone been there? Is it as beautiful as pictures portray, or would I be wasting my money?
3rd. Hurricane season, I live in florida and I know islands can get hit pretty hard. Will this make an issue for my trip?
4th. If a hurricane does hit, can I reschedule my trip to a later date, or get any kind of refund?
5th.How much extra cash would be necessary? (I will only be there for 4 nights)
I plan on getting a vacation package, air fare and hotel together. However I don’t know what type of transportation would be best there? Is everything fairly close, that you could walk and enjoy it all. Or would I need a taxi most of the trip, and if so how much would I be paying for that?
Basically, I need to know everything from anyone who has ever been there. 
Oh one more thing, there are alot of packages on Travelocity, that say you can get air fare for two and a 4 night stay for around 1000$, that sounds almost too good to be true.. Is it?

I was going to take a SCUBA diving course over the summer, and i was wondering if it is fun, and if it is something good to do over the summer. Also, is it worth the money, because the course is like £300
Finally, what can i expect on the first lesson, as i dont want to be stuck in a room all day learning about the equipment, on the first lesson, will i get to go in the pool with all the gear on?
I’m 20 years old and in college. I plan to save up money for a lot of future vacations such as the Virgin Islands, the Harry Potter theme Park, and other tropical islands. My boyfriend acts as if I want too much, but I explained that we only live once and I want to see as much as I can in my lifetime. Therefore, I plan to save a lot of money for vacationing.
Do you guys think it’s crazy to want a lot of vacations before you die? Sorry to say it like that, but like I said we only live once. I want to make the best of my life and vacations uplift my mood like a drug =)
Some friends and I are planning a vacation this winter somewhere paradise-like. Some voted on the Virgin Islands, some Nassau, and some Guam. If money is no object, what is hands-down the best place to go for young adults?

My husband and I are interested in scuba diving when we take a trip to Florida. Although we are both good swimmers and frequently snorkel, we have never tried scuba diving. We have looked in to taking classes and they are very pricey. To get certified in our city, it will cost us 0 and that does not include equipment. I think it is a little pricey especially since we might shell out all the money and not enjoy it as much as snorkeling. I see scuba diving excursions in Florida all the time, do you have to be certified to go on a beginner dive? Can we take a dive excursion that offers not certification but a quick beginner lesson before going out? My husbands ready to sign up for the certification classes but I’d prefer to try it out first. Any advice appreciated
it’s my dad’s 50th birthday and we wanted to go somewhere tropical. it would be in august, which may be hard cause it’s hurricane season. we’ve been to the majority of the islands in the Caribbean, on cruises and/or just staying in resorts. does anyone have any good places to go? maybe suggest a hotel or even just a good spot to go, ex bahamas. i would LOVE to go to the cayman islands! money wise, normally we don’t worry too much about money but this summer we have to go to 3 weddings! so that might call for a more feasible vacation this summer, so yeah ANY THOUGHTS?
