My love and I are thinking of a honeymoon January 3-8, 2011. We see a cruise leaving out of San Juan for several island stops. Will it be warm enough to still swim?

I’m getting married NEXT year in july (just so you know i have alot of time to plan). We are stuck on our honeymoon, money is not an issue because he comes from money. So.. opinions on these spots and how romantic/beautiful/fun they are?

-Virgin Islands
-Tahiti
-Hawaii
-Italy
-Caribbean Cruise

Or any other good places you would know!

Here are our must haves:

1) Warm water is a must. Warm like the Caribbean (Aruba, Bonaire), not cooler like Hawaii

2) My husband and I want to go somewhere new. We have been all over the Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico, Europe, and North Asia (Hong Kong, Taipei, Korea)

3) Beach access to good snorkeling and/or scuba diving. Boat diving is fine, but we are not looking for a seven day scuba dive boat trip.

We have no children, so no children requirements.

We also can go anytime in 2010, so please also suggest a good time when to go (best weather, warm, etc). E.g. I read that Maldives is great in Feb,Mar,Apr.

I have been thinking about Maldives, Bali, Bora Bora, or Cook Islands, but everywhere looks soooo beautiful. We (my husband and I) are open to suggestions for somewhere beautiful.

We also LOVE having the option to visit two places. For example, for our 16 day honeymoon we visited two Caribbean islands, Aruba and Bonaire. I really enjoyed seeing two places (our main objective then was scuba diving, which was excellent in Bonaire).

Anyone have any ideas for a great honeymoon?? I’m tired of island vacations. We like to eat alot, explore new places, and enjoy nature. I would love an all inclusive place, but I’ve only heard of the ones in the Caribbean… thanks!

My fiance can’t seem to agree on where we would like to vacation for our honeymoon. We both want to stay in the caribbean though. Our total budget for airfare and lodging is about 00 for 5 nights (June 22-27). He wants to be close to a rainforest and I want to be on the beach. We don’t want to stay at a international chain hotel or resort (i.e. Hilton, etc..) We don’t need a ton of amenities, but the place should be clean and new-ish.

Help? (So far we’ve searched Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, & US Virgin Islands)
We want a relaxing vacation where we can interact with locals. It doesn’t have to be all-inclusive either.
Airfare/lodging packages would be GREAT!

My fiance and I are trying to plan our honeymoon (Scheduled for late november) and we can’t decide if we want to go to St. Lucia in the virgin islands, or travel around italy. We’re both seasoned travelers but have not been to either place. We know the trips are two completely different experiences- one involves exploring the rainforest and sitting on the beach, while the other involves sightseeing and experiencing a different culture. We like both ideas equally, although we worry the sightseeing in italy will be stressful. We once traveled around japan and felt like we needed a vacation after our vacation- there was just so much to do/see! Anyway, if you have been to either place, let me know what you think! Thanks!

I am currently planning my honeymoon. We are going in October (5-15) and we are looking for an island in the Caribbean that will have a slim chance of a hurricane, as well as very little rainfall. I know that a hurricane shouldn’t be my main concern, but rainfall really is. I don’t want to get to a beautiful island and be stuck in my room.

My question is what island would everyone suggest? We were looking at the British Virgin Islands, but which island? Also, how is the rainfall there during that time?

We were also thinking about Aruba. However, I am worried about it being too commercialized and too much like Cancun. We are really looking for a relaxing vacation and like our privacy and space, but we also enjoy a little bit of nightlife.

I’m not getting married for a few years, but I was just thinking about it. I care more for the honeymoon than the actual wedding. So basically I’d want a cheap wedding, but a really amazing honeymoon on the Virgin Islands with my hubby. Do other people do this too? They have a cheap, yet still fun wedding and reception … and then use the rest of their money for vacation?
