I’m supposed to be finding a place to go for vacation next winter break for my family of 5 + 1(oldest brother’s girlfriend). We have some places, but for example our spot in Mexico is being run over by the cartels and we’ve already been to Hawaii, so naturally we thought of the Caribbean. My family is 2 teenagers (18 + 14 both male), 1 young adult (20, male) and then our dad and mom. They hate being tourists and don’t like to stay at hotels. Everyone in our family surfs (very well i might add) and we don’t want it to be too expensive. What would be the best island in the Carribean for our family to visit?

well i know im only a teenager, but what is so wrong about wanting to travel? I work–i have a lot of money saved up too, what is wrong about my dad wanting to take us on a nice family vacation?
she married into this family around seven years ago, and i havn’t gone anywhere since then besides our cabin.
is she just jealous that we have that opportunity to travel? When my dad was single…we went to a lot of places–ive been to at least 40 states in the US, mexico, canada, and some caribbean islands. I know i am extremely lucky–but i was really little when all of this happened. She is such a manipulative bitch im sorry-but now she is taking away the family camp
just becuase she has never lived any more than 20 miles from her birthplace
she talks trash about every place i want to go, and even to the point of racism!
Im extremely interested in studying anthropology and culture .this is why i love to travel! my friends have gone so many places i am completely jealous. wat can i do?
the annoying part is that they go on their own little vacations like five times a year! its INSANE! she goes away for a weekend to the casino every month!
last place i went was disney world lol and that sucked becuase she went along too and was whining and moping the whole time…saying how we were too old…and how she just wanted to go dancing

Well my Ex husband and I have been separated for over a year now.. Our divorce was supposed to be finale in July but he keeps dragging it out with paper work he won’t turn in.. 4 months ago he moved across the country away from our two children.. My daughter is 4 and my son is 7. He has not seen them since he has moved away… He knew about his move over 10 months ago and sprung it on me at the last minute.. He says that he can not visit them because of money issues and time off of work.. He makes very good money. He has been to Kauai Hawaii, Florida several times and the Virgin Islands this year on vacations… taken time off of work and so fourth.. I know I can not force him to see his children.. It just makes me so angry that he would do this to them.. My son has autism and carries a picture of him around saying “daddy home ? Daddy home?” My son need constant care and will for the rest of his life.. I don’t know what to do.. My daughter keeps asking me questions about her dad.. He makes no attempts at all at having anything to do with them.. It is hard on them and myself at the same time.. He was the cause of the divorce and now this… I have had my daughter in some counseling and they said she was struggling with abandonment issues from him.. I am pretty sure he is Narcissistic .. But how do you deal with someone like that? It has put a lot of stress on me.. How the hell do I get through this anger that I have? What type of person just abandons their damn kids??
Okay more info.. My ex and I are divorcing because he was very physical abusive to me.. It came down to him trapping me down in our basement and trying to end my life.. With the children there.. He was arrested because he trapped me in our basement and tried to end my life.. I know.. Why would I want someone like this around my kids anyway? Really to tell you the truth I don’t… I am just pissed because he has done all of these horrible things and gets to go off and have this wonderful life.. He has hurt us all enough.. I think I am just going to move on.. And be the best mom I know that I can be!!

Okay My mom is from St.Croix,Virgin Islands and is hispanic of puertorican descent.my dad is from puerto rico and same too.I was born in St.Croix Virgin Islands too,so just because Im from there am I not considered puertorican because Im not born in Puerto Rico or am i still puerto rican?
