Vacation Location Ideas?

I’m supposed to be finding a place to go for vacation next winter break for my family of 5 + 1(oldest brother’s girlfriend). We have some places, but for example our spot in Mexico is being run over by the cartels and we’ve already been to Hawaii, so naturally we thought of the Caribbean. My family is 2 teenagers (18 + 14 both male), 1 young adult (20, male) and then our dad and mom. They hate being tourists and don’t like to stay at hotels. Everyone in our family surfs (very well i might add) and we don’t want it to be too expensive. What would be the best island in the Carribean for our family to visit?

What are the chances of her committing adultery again?

Wife went on vacation in 05 with family. They went to the Carribean for 2 months while I stayed behind because I had to work. I view islands as very seductive places. She hasn’t sat foot on this island sense she was 5. I brought up the possibility of her cheating on me. I told her that I know you & your sister will be out and about drinking & smoking with guys you don’t know. Since her sister isn’t married I’m sure she would go off somewhere with some guy leaving my wife alone with some dude. Sure enough it went down pretty much that way. I found this out after a few times of me asking her if she cheated on me.
Anyway we are moving to that very same island. I’ll be traveling back & forth to the states. I just wanted to know what are the chances of this happening again while I’m away & why did happen in the first place?
Even though she’s born again Christian, speaking in tongues & praying more often, it still doesn’t make me feel secure about things.
Christina B : She was a Jehovah’s Witness although she kinda fell out practice. She regret & has repented since, but that doesn’t prevent a mistake from happening twice. & she doesn’t blow me off. I don’t bring it up anymore. If anything she has mentioned it 3 or 4 times on her own.
nightbut… : There’s a very thin line between trusting someone & having gut feelings that something is wrong. I’m moving there b-cuz I’ve forgiven her & we r opening a family business.

Poll: Whats you absolute worst airline experience?

Mine is on US crapways

I’m flying from Boston (BOS) to Turks and Caicos Islands (PLS) about a year ago (i was coming home today a year ago) going thru Charlotte (CLT) both ways

I’m not even on the plane yet and here comes chaos. I’m in Boston, sitting between two gates looking out the window. People start screaming "OMG someone stop that!" and "It’s going to hit the plane!" I didnt know what was going on, then I realized that a tug was inches away from pushing a plane, which was boarding people to PHL. 3 US crapways ground peeps walked over and just carelessly pushed the tug out of the way. Then 10 mins later i got on the plane to CLT, and it was FREEZING COLD. literally. i could see my own breath inside the plane. the head f/a came on the intercom and said "we are sorry about the plane being cold…there is a door open at the back of the plane still loading food carts." I was just pissed…and the f/a cranked the heat. there was no movie on the flight, and it was a 2 and 1/2 hour flight…

on my second flight to the warm sunny carribean, the gate agents were just a*sholes and wouldn’t board the plane until like 15 mins before the plane was supposed to leave. we left 1/2 hour late, and we got there 1 and 1/4 hours late. again, there was no movie during the flight, just 2 or 3 TV shows. and when i got off the plane (it was a staircase airport) the engine was still running (A319) and everything was so f**king windy i almost fell off the staircase. us airways knew they were behind schedule and risking passenger’s safety can’t get them back on schedule.

after a nice week’s vacation, i have to go home. flying thru CLT again, i get on my first flight. i get on the plane and the first officer comes on the intercom and says, in a gay tone "ladies and gentelmen this is yur first officer speaking…our pilot today is a trainee for us airways…we will be pushing back in a minute…have a nice flight" and i was just thinking ‘you gotta be kidding me’…why the hell would they have a trainee pilot fly a full 757 on a 3 hours+ flight which is over water 75% of the flight…and the weird thing was that the fasten seatbelt sign was on for the ENTIRE flight…and i was behind the second set of doors on this plane, and theres 1 bathroom with the f/a sitting there. 15 people were waiting to use it, and they were making a lot of noise. the f/a just looks at the people for 5 seconds, then goes back daydreaming. then actually i was surprised when they showed a movie during the flight. really that flight was the worst flight i’ve ever been on. we arrive 30 mins late, nearly missing my connection.

i arrive in CLT, go thru customs, and go thru security again, and get at the gate 5 mins before boarding, when i had only 1 hour to go thru customs and security and get to the gate. i got on the plane, and sadly i had the no recline seats…and i realized the fasten seatbelt sign was not lit…the first officer came onto the intercom and said "ladies and gentelmen our captain is currently on his way here fron concourse c…we do apologize for this. we’ll be on our way shortly." and that was like 10 mins before departure…he was 5 mins late and we left 10 mins late. then they had issues with pushing the plane back with the tug, and they had to pull the plane all the way to the line for takeoff. the pilot came on the intercom and said "it looks like we are 20th in line for takeoff." i was just frustrated by that point…and 30 minutes later we took off…and i fell asleep, idk how with no recline, and next thing i knew the landing gear was down and we landed…and i got home at 12:30 am, which is a hour and a half later later than i should’ve.

getting to my question, what is you absolute worst airline experience?

how do i promote my hometown/country to foreigners, esp Americans so that they would travel, tour and invest?

My father comes from a beautiful island in the Philippines with white sand beaches, blue green waters and very friendly people. I personally love the place and spent memorable vacations there as a kid. Now, my father and the town mayor wants to know how he could promote the island to foreigners, especially to Americans, to attract more investors and tourists. There already is a growing number of tourists in the area and hotels and resorts near the beaches but the island needs more development and it would be nice to see foreign investors coming in and bring progress to the island, boosting more jobs for the people there. Just like how the Carribean is promoted to Americans as an ideal vacation spot. Any ideas where to start? Is there a government sector in the US where i could go to and propose my ideas?

Traveling Problems with Passport’s?

We have planned a vacation to somewhere in the carribean, either Jamaica, Dominican Republic, or U.S. Virgin Islands. I am a Citizen but my passport has been sent out for renewal and may or may not be back in time, is there anything i can do? I know i need my birth certificate to go to the virgin islands but the passport people have my original copy…. My sister on the otherhand is not a U.S. Citizen but holds a greencard and resides here. Her Passport is also out for renewal but the Indian Consulut will deffinitely not have it back in time, and even to go to the virgin islands someone mention special papers from the Indian Embassy, so is there any kind of temporary passport to re-enter the U.S. or anything i can do?
