I’m supposed to be finding a place to go for vacation next winter break for my family of 5 + 1(oldest brother’s girlfriend). We have some places, but for example our spot in Mexico is being run over by the cartels and we’ve already been to Hawaii, so naturally we thought of the Caribbean. My family is 2 teenagers (18 + 14 both male), 1 young adult (20, male) and then our dad and mom. They hate being tourists and don’t like to stay at hotels. Everyone in our family surfs (very well i might add) and we don’t want it to be too expensive. What would be the best island in the Carribean for our family to visit?

About a week after he suggested that I go on a vacation he mentions that he wants to go on vacation with his friends to Bali. It would be inconvenient for me to go because I go to college and they would be leaving when classes are taking place. Not to mention I have a daughter (i wouldn’t mind bringing her with).

Okay I know that his friends are single so me coming along makes me a fifth wheel. So I don’t want to go with him and his friends.

I just feel like him suggesting I go on vacation without him was manipulation to say "but you’re going on vacation without me". Which I wouldn’t have done anyway.

It seems kinda sneaky.

Plus we have never been on a vacation together alone. We have never been on vacation at all. So it hurt that he would choose to go with his friends.

I pointed it out to him that if he goes there would be women pouring themselves on them because they are American. So I told him he would cheat or feel lonely because his single friends are definitely going to have sex and leave him feeling like a fifth wheel.

I do not believe a 34 year old man would not know this scenario would be taking place.
He just told me about his brother’s GF going to the Virgin Islands "alone" and she cheated on his brother.

Is he that stupid or does he think I am that stupid?
I discussed it with him and he apologized. I told him if he wanted to go then he should go without me because he will be with single guys. He said he won’t go and he suggested we go on vacation together. He said he wasn’t thinking. I don’t know I wait and see. Thanks folks for your answers.

we are looking to "elope" with my best friend and his brother – only four people – NOT A DESTINATION WEDDING. we want an all inclusive i think… not exactly sure if its worth it. never been to all inclusive. but want to marry on beach – no passport required a must as we are looking to go in june. i want a beautiful hotel that is has great service – friendly more than fancy – because i think that makes such a difference. i would love to hear any bride or groom to give me any feedback good or bad – please help… – i find it hard to look for our unique situation and the resorts i was recommended to in st. thomas have horrible reviews. He loves to fish and golf – we are not looking for the cheapest deal necessarily but would love someone to tell me a place they loved and why – preferably in the us virgin islands. st thomas, st johns, st croix– (also if you know of one in florida, or hawaii not ruling them out…) Help:)

so going on vacation it is going to be me 15, my brother 16, and my mom.
I really wanted to go to a beach but idk where to go I have been looking for different places in the Caribbean and in mexico but im not sure where exactly to go, so if you have a suggestion for an island to go to or more specifically a town and things to do and see in it that would be greatly appreciated.
Also if you have any other ideas of places to go with nice beaches in the US or elsewhere that would be fine too please help and if you have things to do there or websites that would be great.

so me and my brother are looking to go on an island trip and dont know where we should go, both our money combined i’m looking to spend about 4000$ for a 7-10 vacation where should i go. i would love to go somewhere tropical like bahamas or in the caribbean any subjestions would be most appreciated. thanks

my husband says no he is not gay.he goes to s. america or caribbean islands yearly vacation &converses with "women"he meets from there.my question is that he expects 2 always be invited to holiday dinners but never brings anything like a bottle of "good wine"(he has brought reunite or paul mason and sometimes a 6pack beer. he never offers to help clean up and even hands me dish to get refill if we are eating outside with food being inside.has never invited us for even a drink at his studio apt. that does have a yard and patio outside. how can i stop his rudeness that is very catty when he is not invited?he is very cheap with his money that he saves and has lot of from never spending it or sharing with nice food,flowers, etc. gift on holidays he has been invited too.husband, his brother never speaks up since it is me doing all the work.husband will in turn help clean up but just tired of brother in law’s rudeness. any suggestions are welcome to us older folk.

I’m learning scuba diving at a PADI facility, so I was wondering if I could train my younger brother the same way and then rent additional equipment so we can both go scuba diving, are there any legal implications of taking an unlicensed person alongside myself when going scuba diving?

We’re planning on going scuba diving this summer under the supervision of a certified instructor as a cruise excursion. Unfortunately, my brother is worried he’ll run out of air (we’re only going about 15-20 feet deep, so on the off-chance that happens, it isn’t too hard to swim to the surface (plus, there are a bunch of people who’ll be there just in case; it’s the clear waters of the caribbean, so they can see him). Anything I can say to reassure him that he isn’t gonna drown?

My brother, his wife, our cousin, myself and hubby took a cruise this year, went to St. Thomas, St. Croix and Barbados. We fell in love with the water. Our family wants to do it again next year. We did not care for doing the cruise, we always seemed to be rushing to get back to the ship. We went on snorkeling trips, zip lines etc. Especially want to do snorkeling again. We are thinking of maybe renting a house on one of the islands or do an all inclusive. We love water toys, so any suggestions of which island to stay at and where. We are in our 50′s and do not want to be around a bunch of kids. We did see a houseboat that sleeps six online. Looks like we could rent that for our trip. Any ideas or experiences that you could share would be great.

My family consists of my parents who are 57 and 51, my brother who will be 21 at the time and myself at 18 years old. I’m planning our vacation for this summer and we’re taking a Royal Caribbean cruise somewhere in the Caribbean–probably the western islands. It’s our first cruise but we have no idea which ship is a good choice since there are so many of them..any suggestions?
or even a different cruise line if you think a different one would be better for my family.
