I’m looking to vacation in Barbados or a similar island over the winter and I’m wondering what part has the ‘green monkeys’ in the wild and has the best beaches. Also would you have any websites of nice resorts would be a great help too. Thanks

I am a US Citizen looking to move to the Caribbean and I am looking for suggestions on which island I should move to.

Please do not turn this question into a debate about qualifying for citizenship, immigration and work authorization. I can obtain a legal residency status in almost any nation.

Which island would be of most benefit based on my expectations.

- white sandy beaches with no shortage of gorgeous water

- limited rocky coastlines and limited elevations

- no bigger than jamica or st. croix in land mass

- does not have a fierce hatred for the United States

- mostly English speaking

- island where a skilled american with legal rights to work can find a job

Going on a vacation to the Caribbean soon and one of the things I would like to do is swim with the sharks. Anyone know any specific countries/places I can do this at? The more detail you provide the better, because I really am trying to find a place. Some of the possible places me and my friends want to go to are Martinique, Grenada, Cayman Islands, Aruba, Bermuda, and Barbados. Hopefully someone knows of some places you can do that there among other fun things? My mother (who is a young looking 44 year old) is planning to go on vacation with her husband. She asked me to research for her where she should go. Only problem is that I HAVE NO IDEA. She only has about 5000. She says her husband doesn’t like cruises, so I can’t tell her to visit all the caribbean Islands. And Hawaii seems expensive. Cancun? Bahamas? Barbados? DR? PR? Jamaica? Belize? Bali? Virgin Islands? Brazil? Is Bali unsafe because of terrorists? HELP!

I”m a single parent planning on using some of my hotel points for a vacation with my 8 year old son. Last year I took him to the big island of HI, but this year I’d like to try the Caribbean. The hotel chain (Hilton) has hotels in the following spots
Barbados, Curacao, Jamaica, Nassau, Puerto Rico, Santo Dominigo, Trinindad, Tobogo.
Which island above has the most activities that kids would enjoy (watersports, jetskis), and is also kid friendly?

My brother, his wife, our cousin, myself and hubby took a cruise this year, went to St. Thomas, St. Croix and Barbados. We fell in love with the water. Our family wants to do it again next year. We did not care for doing the cruise, we always seemed to be rushing to get back to the ship. We went on snorkeling trips, zip lines etc. Especially want to do snorkeling again. We are thinking of maybe renting a house on one of the islands or do an all inclusive. We love water toys, so any suggestions of which island to stay at and where. We are in our 50′s and do not want to be around a bunch of kids. We did see a houseboat that sleeps six online. Looks like we could rent that for our trip. Any ideas or experiences that you could share would be great.

I’m very confused. I’m planning a vacation in the caribbean, but the more I search and the more I find places where I’d like to go, so, it’s hard to decide.
I’d like a place to relax but also a place where there is something to do/see other than laying down on the beach.
So far I’m looking at: Jamaica, Barbados, Antigua, Trinidad and Tobago and St. Lucia.
Which one of these (or more suggestions)?
