several adults and one 10 yr old on trip- website to decide between taking a cruise or flying to beach? website or forums for budgeting, finding flights? any suggestions of places you’ve been in the caribbean or mexico? want to scuba dive.. not sure where to begin- travel agent not helping much.
I’m going on vacation with a friend and her family this summer, and they’re having problems planning and deciding where to go, so I told them i’d try to help out. None of us have ever been to the caribbean before. They want to stay at an all inclusive resort, somewhere that has a lot to do for adults (my friend and i are 19 and 18, then her parents…parents are okay with drinking/partying, and we love adventuring and being active) but not crazy overpopulated with tourists. we want to be around people but not be suffocated ha. Budget isn’t a super big issue but it’d be cool to save some money on the trip as well. I think the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, or Turks and Caicos might be cool, but I have no idea. any input on good resorts, good places to look online for package deals/airfare deals, things to do while there, and anything else noteworthy would be great.

- Something unique and not manufactured for honeymoons (i.e. not Sandals)
- Great beach with palapas, preferably without beach vendors

Hi. This year my parents told me, my bro, and my sis. That they are thinking about going on a Island Vacation this year. We haven’t decide where to go yet any ideas? I never been On a island vacation. My parents been on a few. Like Hawaii, St. Thomas, Bahamas, Jamaica, and the Virgin Islands…. Oh and we are bringing my brothers friend so there’s going to be six of us. Is there any good deals out there for a party of six? My parents really want to go back to Hawaii this year. Is there any good deals??? Oh and theres going to be 2 kids and 4 adults (my brother and his friend are 18). We don’t want anything expensive. Nothing more then 7,000. I’m not counting air fee. I’m traveling with my family (which includes two 50 year old parents, and two daughters, ages 16 and 13.) Most of the resorts I’ve found in either Puerto Rico or The US Virgin Islands seem to cater more to adults only or families with young children. Can someone please give me a suggestion?

Do you commonly go on vacation to places like Domincan, Mexico, Bamhamas, or any other carribean places? While I was in the Bahamas (Paradise Island). We took a fairy to Nassau and walked around in a straw market. It was amazing how many children were trying to sell things with there parents to keep the family surriving. I ran into a store and bought a couple 6-pack of sodas, a few snacks (chips, pringles, etc.) and just handed them out to the chilldren. The ones I didn’t buy food for, I handed them some money and told them to go get something to eat. Are you one of those people that believe in NOT giving money to the children because the adults are just wasting it? Well then give them food or drinks. Don’t leave them hanging. What do you belive in? Thanks for your imput.
What is the best Caribbean island to visit with the clearest water, the prettiest beaches, great snorkeling, parasailing, swimming w/ dolphins, and other fun things to do? Keep in mind that this is a vacation for 2 adults, one 14 yr. old, one 18 yr. old, & one 19 yr. old.

I am torn over our next family vacation. We are a family of 3 adults and 3 teenagers from Seattle. We would love to do a cruise and see the Western Carribean ( Mexico, Belize, Grand Cayman Island) but at the same time have never been to Hawaii. What is the best bang for our buck and/or fun for the explorer type vacation?
